Where the weight is distributed, where the balance point of the bat is tells some of the story too. I’ve said this before, but knowing the weight of the bat only tells you part of the story of how it swings. So maybe Darling Daughter should be swinging a 26 ounce slowpitch bat so her bat speed can go UP again, lol! (I jest of course). The line you usually see on the web is that “they should swing the heaviest bat that doesn’t affect bat speed”. (The -10 Ghost was without a doubt “more balanced” but probably not “as balanced” as lxt or CF5 etc.) DD’s bat speed went UP when she went from a -10 Ghost to the -8’s. Barrel is marked “end loaded feel” and the balance point is identical to the 33 Rocketech I have on the wall. ![]() Looks like at 23.5 it could have been marked either way.īoth of the 33/25’s I have at the house we’re 24.8 ounces.
